A day for celebrating.

I am done with school for the semester! No school for almost four weeks! Hurray!
The final I had today only took me 15 minutes to take. That's a good sign I think. I'm pretty sure I did a good job on it. Oh yes.
Time to get into the Christmas spirit, now that I don't have school to drag me down. :)

Party time! Sh-ya!

Sad day

Today I suffered the loss of my precious violin bow. He will be missed. We had some good times. The horse hairs were brittle and weak, they snapped simultaneously under pressure. Some hairs were strong enough to withstand, but the majority are just a frazzled mess now. I miss that little bow already.
I do have a back up bow from my old violin, but it is dirty and does not play well. I didn't know in my early violin days that you are not supposed to touch the hairs or the oils from your hands make it all gross and the sound quality suffers.
I can clean the old bow and it will be back to normal, but I lost my rosin a couple years ago in my high school orchestra class. With out rosin, the cleaned bow won't play. Guess I don't get to play my Christmas songs this year.
Poor little neglected violin. Haha
In other news, I scalded my tongue and throat on piping hot cocoa this morning at breakfast. Ouch. :p

Thankful for Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving! Yummy food! I had to make the majority of the eats this year since I am the only girl in my family. Every thing worked out great! Well, everything except the green bean casserole gunk which, lets be honest, is always gross no matter what you do to it. I forgot that I put it in the oven so it was there for about a half hour when it was only supposed to be in there for five minutes. Whoopsies! The top layer was burned and crispy. Let me tell you, burned beans are NOT good. Ew. haha. I was quite proud of my stuffing though, as you can tell from the picture. It wasn't like the stuffing we have had in the past which just tasted like soggy bread and tyme. I used a great recipe I found on my favorite cooking website, Allrecipes.com. It consisted of apples, sausage, and craisins along with all the other typical stuffing ingredients. Very tasety. My daddy decided it would be a good idea to make everyone their pie of choice so we ended up having 7 pies for the 9 people that were there. Overload? I think so. At least most of them were easy to make. He just wanted Thanksgiving to be especially good this year. My brother and I had a contest to see who could eat the most food. We called it the biggest gainer. we weighed ourselves before and after we ate our large dinners. I was eating more than he expected, and he is very competitive, so he got another plate load and continued to eat. He made a comment about a Bill Cosby rutine that talks about eating too much and your body telling you not to take another bite, but you do it anyway. Then, as the rutine goes, the toilet becomes your best friend as you stick or face in a place where it was never meant to go. Well, this is what happened to him right after he made that comment. Needless to say, I won. haha gross. :) Thanksgiving is over, we can officially sing christmas carols, and decorate! It's christmas time! Love it.

No longer a teen. Finally.

( ^Thanks Melissa! :) )

My birthday was last Tuesday, the 25th. I am finally 20! I love that. :) It sounds so much older, which is a good thing. However, I refuse to get older than 21. So, next year will be my last Birthday for the rest of my life. Haha. I didn't do anything to celebrate really. I just wanted it to be like any other day this year. I did have better than sex cake the day before. Yum yum! On my Birthday I went to Olive Garden with Aaron. So good! Our waiter was odd though. Kind of rude. He didn't like that I wanted salad instead of soup and he didn't want to give me bread sticks in a to go bag. Here are some pictures of the day.

Birthday snap shot!

This is my gooey cake!

First time listening to my new iPod Nano
he bought me. It's pink with matching
marshmallow earphones. Yay!

This is everything I got.

Master of the blog!

I did it! I changed my background. It only took me one week to figure out. I am so learned! :) Now I know, I can do anything that I set my mind to. As long as I have Google to give me step by step instructions that is... haha!

Let there be music!

After toying with this whole blogging thing for a week now, I finally figured out how to add some rocking tunes to it. Ye-ha! I think I might actually be getting the hang of this whole thing. Next stop, figuring out how to do a different background...
So, moral of the story is, enjoy the tunes!

This is Aaron.
That's all.

I got new glasses! Hurray!

This is a picture of me in the sunglasses the eye doctor gave me after my eyes were dilated. That is my attempt at being gangster. Yeah, it comes naturally for me.

These are my spectacular spectacles! It took me almost two hours to pick them out. I am indecisive, to say the LEAST!
PS my shirt is awesome and you know it!
peace out homie G! :)

Day 1

I'm making this blog because I know so many people are interested in knowing about my life. I know that I will have so many people check this everyday to see if I have updated, hoping and praying that I have. Okay, so the real reason is because I am bored. I need something to keep me busy on days like today. Busy hands are happy hands! So here's what's going on in my life:
School, I'm not sure what I am going to major in.
Work, I work at a group home for people with disabilities.
That's pretty much it.
Oh the life of a college student.
Here, enjoy some pictures!
