For Sarah!

Aaron's sister Sarah didn't get to see our house all decorated for Christmas so she requested pictures. This post is for her :)

I found this Charlie Brown and Linus fun little decoration at Shopko and just had to have it. It says the true meaning of Christmas from A Charlie Brown Christmas the show. So cute!

You can't really tell but this is a precious Moments ornament that says our first Christmas 2009. It's still in the package because, if you know me, you know I only buy things if they are on sell. So we didn't buy it till yesterday. So it wasn't actually on our tree for our first Christmas, but it has the date. That's all that matters. haha

This is my little three foot tree I bought a couple years ago. Aaron doesn't like it. I think we will have a different one next year. I love it because of the miniature ornaments, tiny tree skirt, and the little star I bought for it. It's also fast and easy to decorate and undecorate.

That is all!

Gingerbread house and blisters. Must be Christmas time.

So our internet stopped working this last week, right after we finally got it. It was fixed today so I can update you on our eventful week. On Tuesday we made a gingerbread house from a kit. It came with Wonka candies to decorate with, how fun is that? :) It turned our really cute, I'm a little proud of it, I must say. haha. Here are some pictures!

Next, on Friday I was trying to make spaghetti pie for dinner, I placed the noodle straining spoon too close to the burner on accident, picked it up to use it, the plastic had melted and got stuck on my hand. I guess since it was hot and hurt I grabbed it with my other hand to stop the hurting and burned my other hand as well. Second degree burns on BOTH hands. Wow am I talented or what? The pain was pretty sever. Second degree burns are the most painful kind you can get, because if you get third degree it goes to your nerves so you just don't feel anything. I have six blisters between both hands. So, after getting opinions from my medical school brother and my dad's wife who is a nurse, we thought it best to go to the insta care to get it looked at. I was afraid I would get an infection from all the money I have to touch at work since burns have a higher chance of getting infected. The doctor gave me some prescription cream for it and told me I need to come back to have the blisters cut off after they pop. Ew and ouch. The pictures of it will be posted later. :)
For now, enjoy some random pictures of the center pieces made for my dad's wedding, which ended up being the only decorations there.

All at once!

Finally a day off! So here's what's been going on in our life's.
My birthday was on the 25th of November. It was so much fun! My brothers pitched in and got Aaron and I some Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert tickets. It was unexpected (by me and my brothers haha boys are so last minute) I was sooo happy when they called and told me. I hadn't been able to make it to the concert the two years before and I missed seeing them. They are amazing. The concert is pretty similar every year, but it's always so good! They have an awesome light and laser show going on the whole time. I love watching the violin player rock out, makes me miss orchestra. My present from Aaron was a Kitchenaid! I'm so excited for it! I haven't gotten to use it yet cause we've been trying to find a colored one, which is quite the task. If I don't find one today I'm just going to use the white one and finally start making holiday goodies! White is, after all, my favorite color. I just wanted one that wasn't like everyone else's and also ever kitchen appliance is white so it would be nice to have a little change but it's not a big deal. gets the job done either way.
The next day, the 26th of November was Thanksgiving. We spent it with Aaron's Family this year and will be spending Christmas with my family. I wish our families lived closer together so we could do both, but what can you do. My dad just got married and moved even farther away. haha
The 27th was, of course, black Friday! I love all the deals and stuff! I'm a big bargain shopper so this is a perfect day for me. It's so different in Logan though. I've only done it in Ogden and Park City with my sister-in-law before and it was always NUTS! This year was pretty chill. I had a great time and got lots of great stuff! What a good morning. After shopping we finally got to move into our house and we helped move Aaron's brother and sister-in-law into the parents basement. I'm not really sure why both things had to happen that day all at once instead of over the next two days but that's what we did. I'm happy to be moved. Thanks to EVERYONE who did help us move! We really do appreciate your help. We didn't even have to ask. Thanks. :)
So this was obviously a very busy and mostly enjoyable week.
Since then we have been working a ton, getting unpacked, finally getting to use our wonderful wedding presents, Christmas shopping, Going to Christmas parties, being busy, and enjoying life!

PS Thanks to EVERYONE who has helped at all with getting our house ready to live in! Thank you thank you thank you! :)

Sniffle, cough, sniffle

We have both been sick all week. It is not fun. Aaron got sick first, and like the good giving husband he is, decided to share it with me. That's what's new.
Also, I have been making the center pieces for my Dad's wedding. He gets married on Friday. Third wedding in our family in four months. Crazy! The center peices are turning out surprisingly well. It's supposed to looking autumn like. I'll have to post pictures later. I'm pretty proud. :)
That's all the updates for now.

Brand newish 2002 Honda CR-V

Today we finally bought a new vehicle. We have needed this for awhile because all we have had to use is my Toyota and Aaron's motorcycle. With the cold weather Aaron's motorcycle is no longer a good vehicle to use. My car is an ice box and frosts on the inside and out when it gets cold and the rear defrosters don't work, so we were really in need of a reliable car for the winter time. We have been talking about getting a new a new source of transportation for about six months now, so I got tired of just looking and gave Aaron a deadline to get a car. That was this Saturday for when we go to a Jazz game. I didn't work today so Aaron got the day off too so we could look. I honestly had my doubts that we would really buy something. We found a silver 2001 CR-V at the first dealership we went to and I loved it. It was in perfect condition and drove great. We went to the next dealer and there was a gold CR-V that was a year newer and had less miles but was a thousand dollars more and had some smaller scratches on the outside and bigger ones on the the inside. It had a lot more power though and a sun roof. We were torn as to which one to get. Finally we decided on the newer 2002, the differences on the inside were pretty big and better looking. I am very happy with our decision. My first car in the twenty first century!!! Now that the all too long story is finished, here are the pictures! :)

Goldie Locks? Goldie Hawn? Still working on a name :)

The last of the Halloween fun

Halloween has come and gone. Our last couple days of fun included carving pumpkins on Friday and eating delicious pumpkin pamcakes on Saturday. I love how everything is pumpkin flavored at this time of year. Mmmm so much to love about Halloween. Here are some pictures from the carved pumpkins. Can you guess who carved which one?

Halloween Party!

On Friday, we went to a Halloween party for Aaron's work. It was pretty fun. There was a hypnotist which is always silly. Only four people got hypnotized though so that was kinda lame but it was a good time laughing at them. :) There was also a pumpkin carving contest with some pretty cool pumpkins. An I Love Lucy pumpkin won. The dinner was a yummy potluck. We had to bring a salad of some sort so I made a fruit salad that was pretty tasty, we didn't bring a serving utensil and there were too many other dishes so we were pretty much the only ones to have some. but I enjoyed it :)
Here are the pictures, Enjoy!

We went as Adam Sandler and the penguin from Billy Madison :P

Boo who?

So, I LOVE Halloween! It's my favorite holiday. I didn't get to decorate this year, which is probably one of my favorite parts, so that was a big bummer, but we are still doing the fun Halloween traditional activities. On Wednesday Aaron and I were both off work early, which when not planned rarely happens, so we had to do something fun. We narrowed it down to corn maze, or haunted mini golf. We chose the golf, cause that was one of our first dates two years ago, the first one we took pictures on, but we didn't go last year so it sounded like fun! We invited our friends Geo and Megan to come with. It was a good time. The weather was good, not too cold, and we got free hot chocolate. Woo hoo! So, here are some pictures. Enjoy! :)

No money, no time

Fixed. Guess I'm not allowed to say that. So here, all better.

I wish I had a good job with normal predicable hours and good pay instead of the sucky job I have. That's why you go to school right? But oh wait, since you have to have the sucky job to afford school and the hours aren't predictable, how are you supposed to be able to fit school in there too? And after all the school hours still be able to work lots so you can have a decent check with your poor hourly pay and then have time for homework and fun? Doesn't seem likely. How is that supposed to happen? And who wants to wait four more years at best to have a decent job? And there are not guarantees that after all your thousands of dollars are spent for an education that you will have a job right there waiting for you.
That is my rant for the day.
Don't worry though; I still love life very much! Of course! :)

And don't get me wrong, I am very grateful to have a job at all. Thank goodness for that!

Also, of course this is only about my job and no one else, cause I'm the only one with this problem that I know right? yeah... :P

The end

Miss you!

Today is the first day I will have to go with out seeing Aaron since we got married. First day since a month before we got married actually. Oh goodness what will I do with myself?

Chop chop!

I have chopped ten inches off my hair to donate to locks of love again. It's shorter than I asked for, and I kinda don't like it too much yet. I just need to get used to it. It'll grow out any way. I do like having short hair better than long hair. Long hair is frustrating and time consuming. Now I won't have my long hairs to keep me cozy and warm for the winter. Oh well :)

That's all

The wedding was good. However, I'm very glad it's over with.
To those of you who are engaged: It will come and go sooo fast it's unbelievable. It feels like a life time away like it'll never come and it's frustrating. Before you even know what happened it's there and then gone. Poof! All done. Also, just chill and have fun. :) Remember the big picture.

That's all for now folks.

Pictures, pictures, and MORE pictures!

We got engagment pictures taken Monday up at my grandma's cabin at Bear Lake. It was a ton of fun. We're just so cute! haha. The sun was too bright and messed up a lot of the pictures but out photographer took 883 pictures so we still have a lot that are good too. My cheecks were very sore from cheesey smiles. Here are just a few of my favorite pictures.

Poof poof zip zip

Today I went wedding dress shopping. It was fun, and tiring. So many dresses being flung over my head. I discovered that breathing is unnecessary and just a wonderful luxury. Also, I had to become comfortable with people seeing me half naked very fast. haha. I probably tried on about 27 dresses (hehe). I ended up going back and getting the second one I tried on at the first store I went to. :) It's gorgeous and I'm very happy with it. Can't wait for everyone to see it!
