We got engagment pictures taken Monday up at my grandma's cabin at Bear Lake. It was a ton of fun. We're just so cute! haha. The sun was too bright and messed up a lot of the pictures but out photographer took 883 pictures so we still have a lot that are good too. My cheecks were very sore from cheesey smiles. Here are just a few of my favorite pictures.

Today I went wedding dress shopping. It was fun, and tiring. So many dresses being flung over my head. I discovered that breathing is unnecessary and just a wonderful luxury. Also, I had to become comfortable with people seeing me half naked very fast. haha. I probably tried on about 27 dresses (hehe). I ended up going back and getting the second one I tried on at the first store I went to. :) It's gorgeous and I'm very happy with it. Can't wait for everyone to see it!

Story time!

Well, here it is, the story.
I got off work at 8:30 on Friday and had no plan of seeing Aaron that night. I checked my cell phone and Aaron had called me and wanted to go get a snow cone. He rushed out to my apartment so fast I barely had time to change out of my work clothes. We went to our favorite little show shack and got our yummy cones. We got back in the car and Aaron just started driving. He said he didn't really have a plan of w here to go, so I suggested we go to this great park called Adams park. About a year and a half ago we went to that park and he broke up with me there. Anyway, we went and played on the playground and swung on the swings and had lots of fun. After awhile we sat down on a little wall by the wood chips. He started talking about how he almost made the biggest mistake of his life there and instead of having that be the memory of the park he wanted to make the greatest memory of all there. Then he got down on one knee and proposed in the wood chips. I thought he was kidding at first so I had to ask him if he was serious. I didn't believe him till he pulled out the ring. Hurray! So he had planned on taking me to that park before I mentioned it and I just help him surprised me. I knew it was coming but I didn't think it would be that night.

I couldn't be happier! :)

Future new member of the family

As of 10:00 PM last night, I am engaged!!! :D
It's finally official. and about time too. haha
I don't have time to put up the whole story right now, but when I do have a moment to spare I will for sure post all the cheesy details. However, that spare moment may not come until after the marriage... haha
I'm soooo happy! Yay for 24/7 smiles! haha

New member of the family!

This morning at around 8:00 my lovely sister-in-law gave birth to a 8 pound 15 ounce baby boy! Carter David Isakson has blond hair blue eyes and, very noticeably, my brother Eric's nose. He is 20.5 inches long and chunky. His chubby, pinch worthy baby cheeks hang lower than his chin. Freaking adorable! He sleeps... well, like a baby. He was asleep almost the whole time I was there today. Even slept through all the getting passed around from person to person. I only saw him open his pretty blue eyes once.
Carter is Chaulyn and Eric's second son. Their frist, and my only other nephew, is Max. However, Max was adopted by Eric when he was 4 so I didn't get to see him as a little baby. Carter is the first baby in our family. Needless to say, I'm extatic about this new bundle of joy. I can't wait to hold him again and to introduce him to Aaron, who had to work so hasn't made his aquaintance as of yet.
I'm excited to watch cater grow from birth. I just hope he takes his time with the growing. I want to have him as a baby for as long as posible! :)

Say Cheese!

Yesterday I got pictures taken with Aaron and his family. We went to a park by his house to get them taken. It's a really pretty park with a stream and bridges and, of course, a play ground. This is the good old kind of playground too! It has sand instead of those crappy wood chips I hate so much. Hardly any play grounds have that any more. Any way, here's one of the lovely pictures. They are not all done so there will be more to come with everyone. :)

This IS spring in utah

Time for a little ranting.
I'm sick of hearing about everyone complaining about the snow. Okay, I'll admit it, I too have been just such a snow complainer, but not like others who do it publicly on facebook, over and over. I get it already. Chill. In the snow! haha haters
I love sunny warm days as much as the next beach bum wanna be, but I can and will wait till it is supposed to happen. Which in Utah isn't till Mayish. This is how it as ALWAYS been in Utah. It is what we do. Long cold winters. Short HOT summers. There are no happy mediums here. That's how it is, has been, and always will be.
Still having snowy days in April is a blessing. This means little chance of drought this summer. Yay! Bring on the LONG hot showers and green lawns!
Plus the snow is GORGEOUS when the sun breaks through the clouds and shins on the snow, making it look sparkly and marvelous!
Summer will come soon enough. And I'm sure that the same people who complain publicly about the snow will do the same for the heat. Never satisfied? Yeah, me too. :)
