We have both been sick all week. It is not fun. Aaron got sick first, and like the good giving husband he is, decided to share it with me. That's what's new. Also, I have been making the center pieces for my Dad's wedding. He gets married on Friday. Third wedding in our family in four months. Crazy! The center peices are turning out surprisingly well. It's supposed to looking autumn like. I'll have to post pictures later. I'm pretty proud. :)
Today we finally bought a new vehicle. We have needed this for awhile because all we have had to use is my Toyota and Aaron's motorcycle. With the cold weather Aaron's motorcycle is no longer a good vehicle to use. My car is an ice box and frosts on the inside and out when it gets cold and the rear defrosters don't work, so we were really in need of a reliable car for the winter time. We have been talking about getting a new a new source of transportation for about six months now, so I got tired of just looking and gave Aaron a deadline to get a car. That was this Saturday for when we go to a Jazz game. I didn't work today so Aaron got the day off too so we could look. I honestly had my doubts that we would really buy something. We found a silver 2001 CR-V at the first dealership we went to and I loved it. It was in perfect condition and drove great. We went to the next dealer and there was a gold CR-V that was a year newer and had less miles but was a thousand dollars more and had some smaller scratches on the outside and bigger ones on the the inside. It had a lot more power though and a sun roof. We were torn as to which one to get. Finally we decided on the newer 2002, the differences on the inside were pretty big and better looking. I am very happy with our decision. My first car in the twenty first century!!! Now that the all too long story is finished, here are the pictures! :)
Goldie Locks? Goldie Hawn? Still working on a name :)
My sexy husby in front of our sexy car! Trying to be like one of Bob's Beauties!
Halloween has come and gone. Our last couple days of fun included carving pumpkins on Friday and eating delicious pumpkin pamcakes on Saturday. I love how everything is pumpkin flavored at this time of year. Mmmm so much to love about Halloween. Here are some pictures from the carved pumpkins. Can you guess who carved which one?
On Friday, we went to a Halloween party for Aaron's work. It was pretty fun. There was a hypnotist which is always silly. Only four people got hypnotized though so that was kinda lame but it was a good time laughing at them. :) There was also a pumpkin carving contest with some pretty cool pumpkins. An I Love Lucy pumpkin won. The dinner was a yummy potluck. We had to bring a salad of some sort so I made a fruit salad that was pretty tasty, we didn't bring a serving utensil and there were too many other dishes so we were pretty much the only ones to have some. but I enjoyed it :) Here are the pictures, Enjoy!
We went as Adam Sandler and the penguin from Billy Madison :P
So, I LOVE Halloween! It's my favorite holiday. I didn't get to decorate this year, which is probably one of my favorite parts, so that was a big bummer, but we are still doing the fun Halloween traditional activities. On Wednesday Aaron and I were both off work early, which when not planned rarely happens, so we had to do something fun. We narrowed it down to corn maze, or haunted mini golf. We chose the golf, cause that was one of our first dates two years ago, the first one we took pictures on, but we didn't go last year so it sounded like fun! We invited our friends Geo and Megan to come with. It was a good time. The weather was good, not too cold, and we got free hot chocolate. Woo hoo! So, here are some pictures. Enjoy! :)
Chillin' with the aliens
Geo and Megan come in peace
This is apparently the face I make in every picture
Fixed. Guess I'm not allowed to say that. So here, all better.
I wish I had a good job with normal predicable hours and good pay instead of the sucky job I have. That's why you go to school right? But oh wait, since you have to have the sucky job to afford school and the hours aren't predictable, how are you supposed to be able to fit school in there too? And after all the school hours still be able to work lots so you can have a decent check with your poor hourly pay and then have time for homework and fun? Doesn't seem likely. How is that supposed to happen? And who wants to wait four more years at best to have a decent job? And there are not guarantees that after all your thousands of dollars are spent for an education that you will have a job right there waiting for you. That is my rant for the day. Don't worry though; I still love life very much! Of course! :)
And don't get me wrong, I am very grateful to have a job at all. Thank goodness for that!
Also, of course this is only about my job and no one else, cause I'm the only one with this problem that I know right? yeah... :P
Today is the first day I will have to go with out seeing Aaron since we got married. First day since a month before we got married actually. Oh goodness what will I do with myself? He had to go to an overnight job in west valley for work. It'll be good for us.... I suppose.... haha
I have chopped ten inches off my hair to donate to locks of love again. It's shorter than I asked for, and I kinda don't like it too much yet. I just need to get used to it. It'll grow out any way. I do like having short hair better than long hair. Long hair is frustrating and time consuming. Now I won't have my long hairs to keep me cozy and warm for the winter. Oh well :)
The wedding was good. However, I'm very glad it's over with. To those of you who are engaged: It will come and go sooo fast it's unbelievable. It feels like a life time away like it'll never come and it's frustrating. Before you even know what happened it's there and then gone. Poof! All done. Also, just chill and have fun. :) Remember the big picture.
We met in September of 2007 at a bonfire with some friends from our singles ward. After dating for about a month, Aaron broke up with me at Adam's park. A month later, after much convincing on his part (okay I gave in pretty easily), he got me to give him another chance. Thank goodness for that! Aaron proposed to me at Adam's park (to make up for the bad memory of dumping me there) in June of 2009. We were married in the Logan temple on September 5th, 2009. We are very much in love, and have a great life together. In August of 2010 we added Willis, a Miniature Pinscher, to our family. He is our baby, and we love him. We bought our first house in November of 2011. It's super cute, and just absolutely perfect for us. We are having a lot of fun making it our home. In July 2012, we decided Willis needed a friend to keep him company while we're at work. We then adopted dog #2, Bruce, a Miniature Poodle. He's lots of fun, and we're glad he picked us. We will be welcoming our next addition to the family spring 2013, little Lucy Claire. We couldn't be more thrilled about this little baby girl. This is our blog about our life together. Enjoy!
