Fantastic changes!

Right after my post saying I'm going to be able to post again, life got a little nuts! So, it ended up being a bit of a lie. I won't have as much time on my hands anymore, but I'll post when I can.
The reason I won't have time on my hands to spare anymore is because....after two years of trying and trying.... lots of frustration, tears, and coveting those who it came so easily to.... I am FINALLY working at a new job! :)
I am now an Office Manager!!!! Or, basically a glorified secretary with a side of accounts receivable. I love it. It's pretty perfect for me right now. I work with some great people who are easy to get a long with. I'm actually appreciated and complimented for doing a good job. I already got a raise that I wasn't supposed to get till I worked there for 3 months. I got it after 1 week. (Please pardon my bragging. I'm just not used to this) I work set hours now, which is sooooo nice! 9-5:3o Monday-Friday with an hour break whenever I want. I thought it might be a little difficult working 8 hour days everyday, when before it was rare to get 8 hours and the days I did work that long were so hard. Turns out, when you enjoy your job, the day goes by fast everyday.
I'm so much happier now (Aaron says he notices it all the time. Poor guy is a trooper, putting up with me being mad all the time after work)! This job is the opposite from my last job in every way, and that is why it is so good. Man, I sure do love change! This was such a huge blessing in my life, and I'm very grateful for it.
Thank you to everyone who helped, or tried to help me get a new job. Thank you for understanding.

There is a lot more going on in our life's that I would like to post about, but I'm trying not to do super long posts any more. That's hard when I don't have time to post, but if you want to know what is going on, you can always call me :)

That is all.
Much love for you all!

Valentines Day is meant to be cheesy!

Hello world!
Well, another V-day come and gone.
I'm so glad I got to spend it with my forever Valentine!
We weren't so sure how it was going to work out this year.
Aaron was on call, so we couldn't plan anything.
Drat.
We ended up playing it by ear.
Aaron got home at 5.
On call doesn't start till 6.
I was going to make my wonderful lasagna for dinner,
but I used all my cheese for braided pizza bread last week,
and forgot to get more.
I didn't notice till the sausage was defrosted and I went to start everything else
Phooey.
We decided we had time to hurry and go get some Panda Express before on call started.
We ate at home,
and just had a nice relaxing evening together.
Thankfully there were no floods!
Sounds like a lame day, but it was great!
Couldn't have asked for more.

We both kind of splurged on presents for each other.
More than we probably needed to as usual.
What can I say?
We're in LOVE!

He got me:
a dozen perfect roses
a cute little teddy bear ( no I'm not too old for that)
a box of chocolates
Beauty and the Beast
and Tangled (pre ordered)

I got him:
some pirouettes
a liter of the blue Mountain Dew
a silly balloon (it was waiting for him in the car)
a box of chocolates
and a RC helicopter

All in all, the day was almost as perfect as he is. :)

Hope you all had a great Valentines Day too!

Much love!

Puppy love!

Willis is our little Min Pin. As in "Whatcha barkin' 'bout Willis??" He was born on the 4th of July 2010. Aaron bought him for me at the end of July as an early anniversary present. After a couple long weeks of waiting, we brought him home in August. He has tons of energy and hates to sit still, unless he is laying on a heating pad, then he won't move for anything. He's a picky eater, and therefore very skinny. He has razor sharp teeth and will tear through a cloth chew toy in a day. He's good at catching balls, especially ones that squeak. He hates being tied up or left alone. He's very smart and easy to train. As you can tell, we love him :) Here are some super sweet pictures of his first few days. We haven't really taken many since. We suck at taking pictures ever, really.

This is the day we found him, on the side of the road. Our neighbors were selling him in front of Shopko. Great place to find a dog! haha He was the only boy of 5 dogs, and the smallest one of them all. He was so little, he could fit in one of my tiny hands. He was terrified and quivering. He snuggled up to me and clung to me for dear life, and that was that. I had to have him.

Our brother and sister-in-law bought a dog just after us. She is an adorable boxer named Jada. She is a couple weeks older than Willis. This is their very first time meeting minutes after picking Willis up. Doesn't He look terrified? :)

They warmed up fast. :D

Now they are BFF and ever!

We took them to Bear Lake the day we got him and they had their first swim together.
this is them afterwards snuggling up to stay warm together. When we got home we took them to the fair. They were a big hit. Who wouldn't love such adorable puppies???

Drinking from the hose for the first time

They love each other. :)

Some day we will have to get pictures of him all grown up and post them too. For now, this will do.

Don't be Jealous. You know you love them. ;)

New year, new hair!

Happy new year everyone! I hope 2011 brings only the best of things to us all. For New Years Eve we celebrated by skipping our party's and going to bed at 10 PM. I'm not sorry about it either. Neither of us would have had a good time forcing our self's to stay up too late. I work early in the morning every morning, so we usually go to bed at about 9. Aaron has been working at least 12 hours a day so we were both very tired. 12 AM would have been hard to make.
I did, however, cut and dye my hair for the new year. Aaron said he wanted to see me with darker hair so I tried it out, and what better time for a change than New Years? I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out too! I'm happy to have finally found someone in Cache Valley who is decent at doing hair. I thought it was hopeless after my last few experiences. Here's how it turned out:

These were taken from my phone, so not the best quality, but they'll do.

Happy New Year!!!!

Ready!

All the presents are wrapped and neatly placed under the tree!
Probably more than there should be.
I may have spoiled my husband.... a lot.
It's his turn for that.
He spoils me plenty.

That's all.

Random much??? Why yes!

Aaron has been at work for the last 13 and a half hours. I've been off for the last 7 hours. I'm not very good at entertaining myself and I am officially b.o.r.e.d.
I started making heath bar cookies and half way through realized that I don't have eggs. I read that you can substitute 2 tablespoons cornstarch for every egg in cookies, so I gave that a try. They turned out pretty good. I mixed them too much, so they could have been better. I will probably still eat them all in the next week. I LOVE home made cookies. They are kind of an addiction of mine. I can't just eat one!!!! Best addiction ever! :)
Another random thought, I cant stop buying Aaron Christmas presents. haha I keep saying I'm done, then I think of something else I know he wants. I want to get him everything I ever remember him saying he wants. He has expensive taste so I can't buy him everything, I've already spent so much. Ekk. I think I'm really done as of today though. I love knowing he'll be happy with what he gets, But I hate thinking that he might wish he had something else too. haha! Yep. I love him.
Our Christmas tree has a decent amount of presents under it and that makes me happy. We didn't procrastinate this year! Yay! Only one more present. I just don't have any idea what to get for them..... hmmmmm.....
Today was soooo cold! I had to work at the window for the majority of the day today, which is pretty typical. I thought my ears were going to fall off!!! It was 2 degrees when I got to work. Better than yesterday though. Good thing I have the hobo gloves Sarah got for me! I've also heard them called glomits.... haha that's just silly.
Well, I think that is all the random thoughts I can think of today.
Holly out.

Annnnnnnndddd we're back!!!

Hello all!
Well everyone who is still checking that is....
It has been awhile eh?
Have I mentioned we are busy people? Cause we most assuredly are!
I should have more time on my hands now.
I just finished a class I took in Phlebotomy! I must brag that I got 100% on the practical, 92% on the final/national exam, and an A overall! Go me!!!! I'm pleased. I'm a certified Phlebotomist! Saaaaaaweet! I absolutely LOVED the class! I miss jabbing people with needles. It's such a high when you see that you got blood! I'm very much a vampire. Now I just wish I could get a job doing it so I can get back to it.
Also, something new, we bought a puppy! His name is Willis (whatcha barkin bout Willis?) He's a min pin and a little pain in the butt! haha but we love him. He's like a child. He puts everything in his mouth! Good thing he's cute.
We had our 1 year anniversary in September. We had a great time touring through beautiful Wyoming.
For Halloween we had a couple parties to go to. We went as Kermit and Miss Piggy and had a good time. I've never been a blond before... I think I'll stay brunette. :)
Thanksgiving we spent with my family and enjoyed good food and great company. I love my family and don't see them enough. I hope to live closer to them soon than later. We also visited my fantastic Aunt Debbie and her girls and grand kids. Oh we love them lots. Sweetest family.
Black Friday included lots of shopping, awesome deals, and going to see Harry Potter and eat at Aggies with my Daddy and Aaron's family for my Birthday.
Now we are just getting ready for Christmas! Went to see the lights last weekend with our "other family" the Anderson's. They are so much fun! We took the front runner (soooo dizzy!) and a great time. I was so happy to see Kim and Ken's baby for the first time! So handsome!
Also, today I got to see Becca's baby for the first time. She's a doll! Such a good little princess. I loved holding her. Don't worry Becca, I enjoyed seeing you too. :)
Well, that pretty much gets us all caught up! Look for more updates soon!
Merry Christmas ya'll!!!

America's Birthday

This weekend was fantastic! I love the Fourth of July. So many fun things going on! Luckily we made it to ALMOST everything that we wanted to go to.
Friday we went fishing at the fish farm with some of Aaron's family. It was lots of fun. I am cursed when it comes to catching fish. I don't believe I will ever be able to catch one. I don't know what it is. I think it's a big sign that you can't catch fish when you don't even catch one at the fish farm. I guess it took everyone else a while to catch theirs as well. Each of them caught one fish. They were big fish too! I did however get two bites. I've never even gotten that far before. Both of those fish got away though. It was still a lot of fun. We didn't want to leave, but we had to make it to the fireworks!
We went to see the fireworks with Becca and Lewis. Did I mention that I LOVE fireworks? Cause I totally do! The fireworks out here are always the best! They last for a long time and the finale was amazing! I've never heard so many fireworks go off at the same time in my life. We had a pretty good spot to watch them too. I only wish it had been a little warmer. Brr...
Saturday was the cruise in. Normally, I spend the Fourth of July weekend up at Bear Lake with my family. Last year, the Fourth was the first time my family went to Bear Lake for the season. It was hard to think about going alone, but I wanted to go. And by alone, I mean without Aaron. I needed his help dealing with it then. He wasn't too happy to have to miss the cruise in, cause he loves it. I promised him we would go this year. So as much as I wanted to go to Bear Lake again this year, I sucked it up and went to the cruise in with my husby.
For those of you who don't know, the cruise in is a showcase of really nice classic and custom cars. The last day of it they do a parade which is just driving up and down the street for everyone to watch. We didn't end up going to the walk around part. We decided it wasn't worth paying that much for it. But, the parade was so fun! As usual, we sat by our second family, the Anderson's. They are tons of fun. So entertaining! We love them.
The last time we ended up going to the cruise in was 2008. That was the day that Aaron told me he loves me, well actually he made me tell him that I love him first, but that's a different story. It was great to go to the parade again and remember that wonderful day. :)
Sunday, after church we went up the Bear Lake for the day. Yay! We hung out on the beach with my family and buried my nephew in the sand. Fun! Also on Sunday Carter took his first steps! We weren't there to see it happen the first time but we saw it happen several times after. So precious! We had to entice him across the room with food. He definitely has a lot of the Isakson gluttony in him. :)
Sunday night we lit off the illegal Fireworks my brothers bought on the way and some we've had laying around for awhile. The cops up there don't care about fireworks since it's so wet. We had so much fun with it...even though we almost blew ourselves up....twice. The first time Darin lit a firework before putting it in the launching tube. It was one just like the professional ones. Well, he couldn't get it in the tube in time. He dropped it on the ground and tried to put it out with his foot. Well we thought it was out for a second...until it exploded once. It wasn't too bad so we started walking away and a second later it exploded again, this time it was LOUD! Holy cow! The sparks flew all around us. Scared the living day lights out of me! The second time, for some reason the firework only got a few feet off the ground when it exploded. I just remember being surrounded in red sparks. I was understandably a little nervous lighting the rest of the fireworks. It's a good laugh now, but could have ended a lot worse than it did.
Monday, We both had work off, yay! We got to be in a parade for Aaron's work. We did it last year too. It's a lot of fun. The kids get sooooo excited just for some candy. They are so dang cute. The best part is, Aaron got paid for this. Three hours of work that was just fun time. I hope we get to do this again next year!
As you can tell, we had a great time! I love the summer time. So many fun things to do. Just don't want it to end. Ever! :)

This post is too long.

That's all
Loves!

More fireworks please!
